SEE OUR SERVICES

Idaho Veterans Research and Education Foundation (IVREF) is:

a 501(c)(3) independent nonprofit corporation established in 2011 to facilitate the advancement of biomedical and health services research in Idaho by providing administrative and research support
one of approximately 80 Veterans Affairs-affiliated nonprofit corporations (NPCs) in the United States created under Congressional authority to allow for approved private and non-VA federal funding for VA research and education

located in Boise, Idaho, on the Boise Veterans Affairs Medical Center campus where oversight of administration and research conducted at IVREF is provided by the S. Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Research & Development.

Completed in 2012, our two-story, 18,000-square-foot Research building houses multiple state-of-the-art basic science research laboratories. We are working to create a well-equipped and broadly supported Biomedical Research Center of Excellence at the Boise VAMC that will serve as a nexus for such research in the state of Idaho.

Scientific discoveries based on research performed here will improve the treatment and healthcare of Veterans, and lead to changes in healthcare for all.
